What's new

ver 2.0.5 NEW

November 2, 2026
- Fewer distributed files: 118 → 12. The DLLs (about 70) and Japanese resources that used to sit in the same folder as EOB.exe are now embedded in EOB.exe. Microsoft.Identity.Client.NativeInterop.dll (used for sign-in) and the runtimes folder remain separate files as before.
- Code signing: EOB.exe and EOBCmd.exe are now signed with the digital signature of Exceed One Co., Ltd.
- EOBCmd.exe version: now 2.0.5, the same as the main program (it had been left at 1.7.5).
Features, configuration files and logs are the same as in 2.0.4.
ver 2.0.4

July 31, 2026
- Fixed a bug where list attachments could not be saved: attachments in custom lists and other lists returned "404 Not Found" and were skipped without being saved. Files in document libraries and list data were not affected.
- Fixed the error count in the Free Edition: fixed a bug where the error count and the list of skipped files were doubled.
Backups taken with ver 2.0.3 or earlier may not include list attachments. After updating to 2.0.4, please run the backup again.

ver 2.0.3

July 29, 2026
- Fixed parallel processing not taking effect: concurrent connections to SharePoint were internally limited to 2, so setting 3 or more parallel downloads did not make it faster. EOB now uses the number of connections you set.

  1 parallel
  6 min 30 s

  2 parallel
  3 min 25 s

  4 parallel
  2 min 30 s

  In-house test on a site with 3,495 items and 3,449 files (July 29, 2026). 4 parallel is about 61% faster than 1
- No more stopping while reading lists: longer timeouts when reading list information, with up to 3 automatic retries on timeout. Only targets that still cannot be read are skipped, and processing continues.
- Error type, message and location are now shown more clearly in the log and on screen.
- The version is now shown in the title of the main window and the version window.
ver 2.0.2

July 17, 2026
- Fixed stopping on large sites: authentication information that was obtained for each file is now reused per site, preventing slowdowns and abnormal termination with "A task was canceled".
- Large file downloads are no longer cut off: the download timeout is now 10 minutes per file.
- Automatic retries: on throttling (HTTP 429/503) or temporary network errors, EOB waits and retries automatically. Only files that do not recover are skipped, and their names are recorded in the log.
- Better logging: details of abnormal termination are always written to the log. Added an optional "performance log" that records item counts and elapsed time, automatic deletion of old logs, and a setting for the number of parallel downloads (1–4).
ver 2.0.1

October 31, 2025
- Switched to certificate authentication: in line with the retirement of Azure ACS, EOB now connects using an app registration in Microsoft Entra ID and a certificate. You can create the certificate from the EOB window.
- Added support for .NET Framework 4.8.1.
