After data is copied to another server, re-applies permissions while absorbing differences in folder depth, server names and domains. Also useful for migrating to a newer Windows Server (for example, 2016 → 2025).
Outputs permissions to the end without stopping, even on large file servers. Saving as TSV (text) has no row limit. When outputting to Excel, sheets are split by second-level folder (the user columns are the same on all sheets), and if a sheet is still too small, output continues on the next sheet.
Saves permissions regularly and shows and reports the changes since last time and the history of when they changed.
Changes made in the permission output (xlsx) are checked and saved before being applied to the actual folders.
Create, delete and rename folders and files from the FAD screen (deletion is confirmed with a number).
Run output and audit reports from external systems with a token (with IP restriction).
Shows the AD department in the permission output. Information from trusted domains is also retrieved without additional settings.
From "view and change permissions" to a tool that protects, assesses and operates file servers and cloud files.
Assesses weak permissions from a ransomware-defense point of view (Modify for everyone, Full control for non-administrators, etc.). AI-assisted audit checks as well.
AI finds places that need attention, such as "everyone has Modify permission" or "permissions of people who have left remain", explains them in plain language, and suggests how to fix them.
Outputs permission reports that can be submitted as they are for ISMS, Privacy Mark and internal audits (who has which permission on which folder, changes since last time, and approval records).
Imports Windows audit logs (file access logs) and tracks who accessed or changed which file and when. Finds suspicious activity such as mass changes.
Saves the history of permission settings (when and by whom) and of changes. Permission requests and approvals are managed with a workflow.
Finds and cleans up unused permissions and accounts (permission clutter) and files that have not been used recently.
Edit permissions directly in the list, set permissions by importing Excel, and look up permissions from users. Processing will also be made even faster.
Along with permission cleanup, create and change AD groups and users from the FAD screen (server migration has been moved to the "Server migration tool" in ver 3).
Manage and audit Windows file servers and cloud files such as Azure (Azure Files, Azure Storage) and AWS (Amazon S3, Amazon FSx) from the web version through agents, including permission requests and approvals (workflow). We will offer a SaaS version running in our cloud and an on-premises version running on your servers. We plan to build it on our web database Exment.
Files on Azure Files, Azure Storage and AWS (Amazon S3, Amazon FSx, etc.) can be listed, exported, compared with audit reports and checked for unused accounts, just like file servers.
Lists the permissions and sharing links of SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams sites and folders, and outputs and audits them in the same form as file servers. Also helpful when migrating from file servers to Microsoft 365.
Lets you stop long-running processes partway (progress and remaining time display was added in 3.0.12).
Support for ReFS volumes, and running with another user's permissions.
We are considering other ways of offering FAD, such as a subscription that always includes the latest features. Current perpetual licenses will remain valid.
